Hi,
I recently applied Regular Decision to CIT and had a few questions regarding the “Where Am I In the Process” (if anyone would be willing to help me out). It says on the page that my application was processed on December 22nd, and subsequently, my Admission Score Report Form was given a day later. The only Financial Aid Documents I have sent are my CSS profile on January 8th and Carnegie’s Financial Aid Estimate on January 7th.
I was surprised to see that the Financial Aid Estimate was listed as an Admissions Document. In addition, I was surprised to see that it said my “Attestations” were completed on January 20th. I have not submitted the FAFSA yet, nor have I submitted anything relating to additional tax statements. Aren’t the Attestations typically completed in April? I find it very strange how it was already processed in January, and I haven’t even submitted all my financials. When I click on “Admission and Financial Aid Notification,” it says “Your financial aid processing is not yet complete.”
Is my Attestations ‘completion’ on January 20th an error? I haven’t gotten any kind of notification of “Folder pulled committee read” yet. Could this possibly be indicative that my application was dumped early on? I’m aware of a number of colleges that dump applications without reading them. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but if someone has any idea of an explanation for this, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.
