Financial Aid/Cal State/ Social Work Programs?

Hi forum,

I am trying to find a college, and i desperately need some help! I am right now a senior in high school, and I graduate this Fall. I am looking for colleges, and I am currently a resident of Kansas. I am in a weird financial situation, and Im not sure what I can afford as far as colleges go. I don't espescially want to stay in-state.

My parents are divorced, and my dad just lost his job- I was told that I could only claim one parent, so I thought I should be able to receive quite a bit of grant money. Is this true?

I have always wanted to go to UW-Madison as I used to live WI, and I am really interested in the Cal State schools - San Diego State University, Santa Cruz, etc.
Here is my GPA: 3.5 ACT: 26 - do I have a chance at these schools?

I am open to other schools, as I am just starting my college search. I want to go to a big school, and I want the classic college experience that state schools offer.

Does anyone have any advice on good programs for Social Service/Social work?
Thank you so much!
