You know what, shoot me in the head right now. I’m an international applicant and my CSS was waived. I submitted other form in place of CSS and both that form and tax returns show “review in progress”. I have not gotten a single email from Aid office.
Does this mean I am rejected ** FOR SURE**? I am a tad skeptical for had this been the way you people are telling, this would have became a norm by now. Dunno I guess. ■■■■!

That is probably just because you already submitted everything, right?
Also, any international students whose income statements status has changed from review in progress to received and satisfied?

I dunno, really.
Na, my tax returns still say under review.

This is making me so nervous! I never got any financial aid emails – I mean, I turned everything in on time, but still.

The vast majority of applicants that apply for financial aid are never contacted, and many are accepted. Every year there are a very few kids that get emails that are asking for personalized info, and in the past, the results have been positive. Don’t worry if you are not contacted. It just means they have what they need to make a financial aid decision.

I didn’t receive an email, and my IDOC info says received-review in progress. All my other stuff is marked as satisfied. Based on the info on this thread, does this mean I’ve been waitlisted? I don’t think this is linked to admissions decisions, and I doubt that, but what are the statistics that confirm this info of there is any? Thanks!

I received about six financial aid reminders and today my materials say satisfied. If they are looking at my financial aid information and analyzing it this late in the process, is that a good sign of admission? I’m doubtful though because I’m deferred early decision and you never ever know until you get the letter. It’s coming soon. Good luck everyone.

rd60374: It’s safe to say that it’s not a bad sign – and very possibly a good one. See dumbo11’s post above.

They also added a “Dartmouth Renewal Financial Aid Application” status and made it received and satisfied. This sounds like a document I would fill out to renew financial aid next year if admitted. I never submitted this document and it was added today when they changed my status to received and satisfied. This is just speculation, but I will make sure to post the final decision in two weeks for future applicants.

I emailed the financial aid office today to let them know that I couldn’t complete the IDOC submission because my parents won’t file tax forms (because of some info they need) until April. I just wanted Dartmouth to know I wasn’t blowing it off. They emailed me back some generic email that sorta said to file when the stuff is complete, and then later in the day I checked my status and most of my stuff then said “waived”. Not sure what that really means as far as getting in, but I guess it means they pulled me up and noted it on my financial aid file. Good or bad, who knows.

Sorry, how long did it take them to switch the status for all the IDOC forms from “Received- review in progress” to “received- satisfied”

I go on cycles of this really freaking me out. I never received an email, although my IDOC NCP form was late, and my financial information was last updated to received - review in progress on February 18th. Currently, I am in the “denied” state of mind.

mine is still received-review in progress (I mean the income statements as I didn’t have to submit IDOC)
anyone else other than @rd60374 whose status has changed to received and satisfied?
btw, it is surely a good sign rd60374 ; especially wih the renewal form and all. Well, it could refer to the form an admitted student sends if he is not satisfied with the initial aid.

I looked up the form and it is to renew aid next year. I am just doubtful because although most people followed the trend last year, one kid said he was waitlisted after being satisfied and everything. Everything was review late February and as of yesterday was satisfied. So I guess it took a few weeks.

Okay, so this forum got me really excited, but I’m trying to keep it to a low boil. So far, I’ve received four “generic” finaid emails from Dartmouth, a personalized one requesting specific information from an adviser, and I have the “received and satisfied” status for all my documents. Does this give me a pretty good shot then, or should I just blow this off?

I also received four generics and a personalized one, and I too have the received and satisfied status for all my documents. From what I have gleaned from past threads as well as this years thread, it is a good sign. I can’t imagine a Dartmouth financial aid officer would actually contact us personally unless they have received word from admissions. I can’t find anybody who got a personalized email and was rejected, but then again College Confidential’s applicant pool is probably really skewed. Trying not to get my hopes up but all signs point towards acceptance.

Hi can someone tell me where everybody is checking the status of their CSS profiles, IDOCs, and FAFSAs?

I feel like everybody has a login to some Dartmouth portal where they can check the status of their application, but I have nothing. The only email that I have received from Dartmouth was on December 31st and it was an email confirming that they have received my application…

Please help im so scared :((

Any international students here who have “Received and Satisfied” for all documents, including the Income Statements? Mine still says Received-Review in Progress :/

Remember to post your results next week!

@Conscience13
Mine is also… Received - review in progress
But plz don’t too worry…
