Financial Aid Email

We will find out in 8 days!

@book05 true that… i just want to fast forward these 8 days so i will know which university i am going next year. i hate this uncertainty and the long waiting period.

It’s crazy that only 8 days are left! I remember when my countdown on my phone said 55 days. I am actually pretty relaxed. Well I just don’t have the energy to be anxious haha.

@xcrunner9 Fascinating. I have only 7 generic emails dating from Feb 15 to March 17. I have a personalized inquiry that arrived a few weeks ago.

Maybe this means that the emails aren’t as automated as they seem, if I began getting emails almost a month after you did. My interview was late January, if that helps.

Fingers crossed. I’m going to be pretty sad if I’m rejected, considering that they’ve bombarded me with so many emails.

@xcrunner9 When was your interview? This may be a clue.

I never got an interview, actually. It would be kinda funny if I go to Dartmouth because it (and Columbia) are the only Ivies I didn’t interview for!

So did everybody in this thread get FA emails and say received and satisfied then?

Yes, received and satisfied for all my documents.

how long did it take you guys for your documents to change from review in progress to reviewed and satisfied??

i got 4 fa emails and it’s been ~5 days since they received my idoc, but it’s still in review in progress

Mine said received and satisfied almost immediately after I sent it. Not sure what this means for either of us.

this is stressing me out,
i haven’t gotten any financial aid emails and my CSS, FAFSA, and Title IV all say “received and satisfied”, from diff dates,
but W-2, IDOC, signed tax return say “received- review in progress” dated March 3, which is when they would’ve received idoc
bad sign?

@Kigzcorp
I am an international applicant.

I never received a single email. All of mine still are still “in Progress” — I suspect this is likely a bust for Dartmouth.

^

Same.

Now that I think about it, who wants to go to a college that plays this silly Financial Aid game?

If you guys don’t want to go… I volunteer as tribute!

i can trade anything to get in!

I know! You think they would realize what people are figuring out, and correct it…

@enigmaticescape: I hope this does not come across at harsh, but the college is not playing a “silly Financial Aid game”; you are. You are trying to divine a hidden meaning from financial aid messages. There may or may not be one, but the college is not trying to lead you on. Waiting for decision day is hard, I know. Best of luck to all of you.

Closing thread as it is not productive. I understand that this is stressful, but you will find out your results in a few days

Please do not start another one
