My son (an international student) has been accepted into the second part of the 3-2 Dual Degree Program at Washington University in St Louis. He has completed the first 3 years at an affiliated university and now needs to make the decision about acceptance of this place at WashU. The problem is he needs significant financial aid to attend WashU but being a transfer student, the financial aid decision is only released on May 15th and he has to accept his place by May 1st. Any suggestions or ideas on the likelihood of him receiving good aid seeing as WashU is need aware and he’s been accepted already, or is he getting his hopes up?

@thumper1 thanks, he’s going for an admitted students weekend for the dual degree program (which he’s been given a travel grant for) in two weeks time so I’ve suggested he set up an appointment with the financial aid office to find out in the meantime but not sure if they’ll let him know before the deadline.
