I am from a middle class family and i heard international f-aid is really competitive and hard ot get, especially in NYU. I am applying ED for stern next year and i was wondering if i can guarantee f-aid if i get accepted. The average f-aid on the NYU site is $20000 so do you think i can get at least half of that?

long story short, no.

even f-aid for us citizen is awful since they fill it up with some 9% loans for most students.

if you need $20,000/year, then nyu is not your school....

There is no financial aid for non-US citizens. None. Expect to pay full-price.

yup. nyu is very stingy with aid

Thats sad and its depressing. Why do US colleges have to be so harsh =.=
Now i cant even try to get into nyu... =(

yeah I feel the same way here chelseafc.... I've basically given up on many schools bcause of the finances... NYU does not even consider internationals that do NOT have money...hmm... And you do not want to bank on scholarships...provided you DO have the money..

Im international

shrug Life's rough. NYU receives funding from the US government, and policy is to spend that money on US citizens, who provided the money through their taxes.
