Well, I've trawled thru' the whole damned NYU Website, and I can't seem to find any mention of Financial Aid for International Students. Does anyone know if NYU indeed does offer FinAid for foreign students (i.e. nationals of foreign countries), and where I can get the forms from?

All I seem to find are links to Loans and Scholarship search websites. That surely can't be a good sign....

krux, I'm sorry to say that NYU does not provide any need-based aid for international students. There are a few merit scholarships available but these are for the very top students only and are very small compared to the costs of NYU. That's why they expect that international students will be able to provide the full cost of their education from their own resources. Once an international is accepted, they must provide proof of financial ability to pay, and at that time, NYU will advise of organizations which may provide loans to internationals.

I think there is financial aid for international students, but its very very limited (when I was there, most of the intl students at NYU were extremely wealthy...I knew a Saudi prince, and an Aregentian aristocrat playboy, and a rich Londoner..clearly these people did not need any help paying tuition).

Basically the way it works, only the top international students get scholarships and such....though I believe the school is working on getting more financial aid for internatonals.
