Financial Aid for International Students?

Which universities provide the BEST financial aid for international students?
In particular, I am looking at ALL the Ivys, Caltech, MIT, Duke, Stanford and UChicago.
I cannot go to the US UNLESS I have a significant amount of financial aid.

Is there a way to find out how many international freshman received aid, and how much they obtained??
I would really like to know the acceptance ratio - acceptance rate for international freshman WITH aid : acceptance rate for international freshman WITHOUT aid

I know that some schools above are need-blind for internationals and that all will meet full need for all admitted students
What I want to know is the average amount given to internationals because i want to know the stingy places so i can not apply to those (since deadlines are coming up and i need to save money)

Thank you all for your help

I would not consider schools that don’t provide International students with aid “stingy”. Naturally I don’t know what country you live in but I am willing to guess that the schools in your country don’t provide US residents with as much aid as they do residents of your country. There are a great number of students who live in the US who can’t afford to attend college. I hope you can understand how educating US residents is a priority for the United States just like your country probably views educating residents from that country as a priority. Also, many schools in the US benefit from federal tax dollars that come from US tax payers. So while some schools are very generous, meeting full need for international students is less of a priority for most schools than doing so for US residents-although some do (MIT) and others provide some funding. But the issue isn’t that some schools are stingy. Rather, the priority is to educate students from the US as your country prioritizes educating students from your country.

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, MIT, Amherst probably will offer the most financial aid for international students.

Every school besides the 6 listed above are probably at least somewhat stingy towards internationals.

If you believe you are qualified, Duke and Vanderbilt offer significant merit scholarships to international students (but they are extremely competitive so don’t count on those).

Dartmouth is no longer need blind for admissions for international students…but does meet full need for those who are accepted.

The schools listed above (except Dartmouth) are both need blind for admissions AND meet full need for all. There are now only five such schools,

There are other schools that are need aware for international students that do meet full need if the student is accepted

And there are schools which offer limited aid to international students…

Look for merit scholarships…there are plenty of threads about merit scholarship that are also awarded to internatioal students.

How much aid international students get in each school, doesn’t matter.
