Financial Aid for International Students

Hi guys, I was wondering how do international students apply for aid. Is it through the CSS PROFILE? Can someone give me the basic overview of how it's done?

Also, if it's possible, can you guys provide any official links to the information?

Finally, are the postmark dates for each university different? I always thought it was Feb 15, but today I just realized Cornell's was Jan 2. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

THANKS for all your help!

I greatly appreciate it!

Yes, different schools have different deadline dates. Each school is independent.

If a school uses CSS Profile, then you would use that.

However, as an int’l student, you should first look to see if your schools even give aid to int’ls. Some schools have a policy of no aid to internationals; some do give some aid. Few give a lot of aid to internationals, so if you need a lot of aid, then you’ll need to target the few schools that can give a lot of aid. Of course, some schools can only give a few int’l students much aid, and some are “need aware”.

How much can your parents pay for your college costs each year?

What schools are you applying to besides Cornell?
