<p>No, you will probably get paid little less than 20,000 if your financial statues stays the same as this year. I will probably say about 18,000 - 19,000. According to UCSD, living off campus is less expensive than actually living on-campus.</p>
<p>From my friends who lived off campus first year, their financial aid was not reduced at all.</p>
<p>^^ this year (2011-2012) is the first year for which the off campus budget is not the same as the on campus budget.</p>
<p>Your financial aid = (Your budget) - (Your contributions)
And so lower budget = lower financial aid.
If you’re getting the most financial aid, i.e. very little personal/family contributions, then your grants amount will certainly be lowered.</p>
<p>my financial aid from last year on campus did not change much compared to this year living off campus.
my grants were only slightly lower. </p>
<p>then again i have no idea how anything regarding financial aid is awarded/works.</p>
