20k = 20,000

i only got 5,000 :(

How much do your parents make?

they don't discuss it with me, but I'd have to guess between 100k-150k

great..mine makes around the same..

sigh I guess it's bye bye NYU :'(

the amount of aid is going to have a relationship to your EFC.

if you're efc is high, don't expect lots of scholarship/grant $$

they are going to give scholarship $$ to lower EFC students who are the top students.

The stupid this is..... I have a high EFC, but I am still a top student. I already have three associate degrees from community college (before graduating high school) and didn't get one dollar from scholarships. However, I won't complain too much because my lack of any FA money means that someone else with a much lower income will be able to attend NYU.

rszanto, You have the right attitude. NYU isn't going to give scholarship money to those without need. My EFC is just under 12K (the COA for NYU and my AGI for 2007 were just about the same number!)and my son got 30K in scholarship money (he just finished freshman year). W/O that money, no way would he be at NYU.
