I want to wrap up financial aid for UChicago soon, but I have a few questions:

  1. They ask for the W-2 form. My mom has Schedule C. Can I submit that instead?

  2. This might be a really stupid question, but what exactly do they want for “tax returns”? My mom filed a 1040. The document she gave me includes two pages of the 1040 (ends with signatures), Child Tax Credit, and a bunch of different schedules. It’s a total of 18 pages. Do I submit the WHOLE thing?

Yes I’d submit the whole thing to be safe. Your mom does not have a w-2 because she obviously drives her income from a business. Just scan the whole thing and email if you are not uncomfortable with that process. That’s what I have done as a parent now for two school years.
