Financial Aid notification from OSU

Has anyone received a financial aid packet from Oregon State yet? Of the 6 schools my daughter was accepted at, we've heard from 4. Although she has good offers from 2 privates and 2 in-state publics, she is holding out hope that OSU will give her enough aid to make it competitive, as an out-of-state student. (U of O offered only loans.)

I don't think that's likely, and would like her to move forward and pay the deposit at another school. We asked her OSU admissions counselor a few weeks ago when scholarship letters and aid packets would be sent, and she said 'late March, early April."

I know of a student also waiting on FA info from OSU. Nothing yet.

The OSU web site for admitted students says financial aid letters will be mailed the first week of April. My daughter is also awaiting OSU’s official FA offer (she received the $7,000 Provost Scholarship notice in January).

We were able to log into her student account last night, and a financial aid award was on there. It looked incomplete, though, because it didn’t have cost of attendance, or any loans - just tuition grant.

Our EFC is about half of the out of state cost of attendance, so federal loans should be part of a package.

Daughter will be gone on a spring break trip for most of the week anyway, but was hoping to have a clear picture of whether OSU would be affordable, because she’s scheduled to attend an OSU accepted students event on Friday the 5th. We won’t bother if the financial aid information isn’t favorable.

Got the e-mail notification today - $4000 in scholarships, which doesn’t make the $38, 000 COA affordable. So that’s off the table, which I knew anyway (but she was hoping for more, since friends are thinking they’re going to OSU.). She’s going to Gonzaga, which offered $16,000 in scholarships and grants.
