financial aid - nyu stern

hi, I am an international student and applying ED to NYU Stern business school.

Can anyone tell me if NYU Stern gives merit based/need based financial aid to international undergraduate students? Or is it even stupid to think about it?

For NYU undergrads, the website clearly states that scholarships and grants for international students at the NY campus are very limited.

NYU does not guarantee to meet full need, and they usually don’t. Their best aid goes to very high achieving students who also have significant need. The awards to international students are “limited” according to their website.

Go to the financial aid page for NYU…when you get to the section about submitting the Profile, you will see this sentence.

Also, NYU’s financial aid for international students is based on merit and need combined…and is limited.

NYU is NEED AWARE for international students. This means your ability to pay, and your financial status WILL be considered when your application for admission is considered.

Why are you applying ED to a school that doesn’t meet full need, gives limited grant and scholarship aid to international students, and is need aware for admissions?

Perhaps you should consider a RD application and to other schools as well…so you can compare financial aid offers and your bottom line costs. Just my humble opinion!
