Financial Aid problem

<p>Hi, I applied to NYU Stern for ED1.
I just noticed that when the common app asked,
Do you intend to apply for need-based financial aid?
I actually said yes.
I'm an international asian student (living in the States though)
so I won't need any fa..
What I'm worrying about is if I said yes, am I automatically applied for financial aid?
and will this affect my chance of getting in since it is more competitive to get in with financial aid? </p>

<p>I would not worry about it. D stated that she is applying for financial aid since NYU is now requiring that you fill out the CSS Profile to be considered for even merit aid. So really everyone should be filling out these forms. We will not be eligible for financial aid and it is doubtful she will get merit aid with an early decision application, but we still did apply for it and checked “yes”.</p>

<p>Not sure if this even matters coz NYU doesn’t even give aid at all to international students.</p>
