At one of the Stern orientations in September, I believe it was said that all ED Applicants should fill out the ED financial forms despite whether or not the applicant believe he or she qualifies. Does anyone recall this being said? I filled it out but now I'm afraid that it will negatively affect my chances. I know that everyone says that financial aid has no bearing on the decision but now I'm just feeling paranoid, considering decisions are coming out in a week. Any comments? Please calm my fears.

I believe NYU's admissions are need-blind, in which case whether or not one needs financial aid has no affect on one's chances for admission.
