If my family's income is $100,000+, will this result in a low financial aid package? I used the net price calculator on the website and it says I'd get about $10,000. Does anyone know how accurate this is or has anyone been in a similar financial situation? If so, how much did you receive?

NYU is pretty bad at giving out fin aid in general, so with an EFC of yours, $10k/yr is pretty good for NYU in my opinion.

There is definitely a financial aspect when considering NYU, but NYU awards scholarships on a need AND merit basis, so if NYU “wants” you more as a student, the higher your “scholarships” will be.

Not accurate at all in our case.

That is fairy accurate. An income of 120,000 yields an EFC of about 29,000-30,000. And since NYU is stingy with aid, 10,000 is about right for the lower tier of what some here have called "likeability"Or “desireability” factor in doling out the money.
