Financial aid question

does anyone know anything about the financial aid policies for international students at brown?? is there any aid available??

well, yes. fin aid at brown is only need-based for all students, but for internationals is not need-blind. so they will take into consideration your need before admitting you.

how generous/stingy is brown for int'l students compared to columbia, stanford, and other non need-blind ivy leagues?

well....sorry to disappoint you but this I don't really know. I'm applying to Brown ED although I myself am a little concerned about the financial part in case I get in, but I chose Brown because this is the school I like the most and I really hope things can turn out ok concerning everything. :)
also as most of you probably know Harvard ,Princeton, Yale, Midleburry, Stanford and Williams are need-blind for intls so if you are very concerned about the financial aspect you might want to choose one of these coleges for ED and keep the others for RD considering RD gives one the possibility to choose. ;)

have any intels on cc gotten into brown and recieved aid???
oh, and does anyone know just how hard it is to get into brown w/ finaid?? i mean, is it just difficult or is your chance insanely small??

I don't think it's insanely small (hope not)....a friend of a friend was admitted in the '09 class at Brown....he is truely a smart guy(and I mean really smart....very good at Physics....gold medal at the IPhO), but he received a very good fin aid.
