If schools are just now reminding you about completing financial aid forms, is that a hint that you might be accepted? They obviously wouldn't care this late into the game if you were rejected.

I heard someone on this forum had a similar reminder and he was accepted!

ohhhhh that would be great, we are getting reminders from one of my son's first choices! However, I don't think the financial aid dept and the admission dept work together in that way.

At least, that's what's been said for the past few years. But I would like to know how the financial aid office operates. It doesn't seem logistically smart to calculate financial aid for every applicant (especially for the schools with low acceptances rates, like HYPSM), so do they just make sure you have your data in ASAP and wait to calculate specific aid until after they receive the decision from the admission department? Or..

Hmmm..ok. All colleges remind you if you haven't submitted your aid forms yet, right? I know some colleges rely on the FAFSA and CSS profile, and (being as unorganized as I am) I don't recall if I sent it to all the colleges. I know colleges with institutional specific forms will remind you, but what about colleges that use the FAFSA and CSS profile? Will they remind you to submit those if you checked the financial aid box?
