This may seem like a stupid question, but if you get no financial aid reminders does this mean you're rejected already? Whats the point of reminding someone who you're going to reject? And if you get financial aid reminders, does that mean your in? Your thoughts?

Well, most financial aid priority deadlines are March 1st, in Indy at least. More than likely, the colleges have not made a decision yet, but want to make sure that you get your FA information done before the deadline, in case you are admitted.

I would not read too much into it.

I’ve gotten no Financial Aid application reminders :(

lol i got like no financial aid reminders from any ivys

I didn’t get financial aid reminders from ANYWHERE. Maybe I should have applied for financial aid just to keep my hopes up lol.

Most schools don’t send them out, it’s just a courtesy when they do.

Yeah, I don’t think finaid remindeers reflect admission statys. the admissions and finaid offices are often separate from each other, so the finaid people don’t know admissions statuses of students. It even said it in a letter I got from a certain college that financial aid status does not reflect admissions status.

In many schools, it has nothing to do with admissions. As I stated in another post, missives from one department of a school does not often mean a thing about whether you are accepted or not. Financial aid counselors want all of your stuff right there so when they get the list of admiited students, all of the data is in their files and they can get the packages done more quickly. So they tend to remind everyone , including those who did not check the financial aid box.

■■■■ i got a reminder from columbia trololol i bet its a mass email but it feels good :d
