Financial Aid Safety Schools

I’ll start of by saying that I don’t need financial aid. I’m just looking for a couple of colleges to apply to that can be used as a safety. I don’t expect these colleges to be great but I don’t want to them to be horrible either. I’m looking for a college where I can get substantial financial aid (about 50%) and use it as a backup. My stats are as follows:

International
Major: Electronics Engineering
ACT: 33 comp 32 writing
TOEFL: 114
GPA: 3.92 UW
4 APs: three 4s and one 3 on the least related subject; currently taking 3 APs
Not great extracurriculars; pretty good at writing

Would prefer that the colleges are ranked decently high and are not religiously affiliated. Thanks for any consideration!

By “financial aid” do you mean need-based aid or merit based aid?

If you don’t need FA then you have to be looking at merit aid. Here are some options:

Alabama would give you free tuition, but as an int’l, you’d have to apply SOON because there is a Dec deadline and all your stuff would need to be received, etc…and translated, if necessary and that all takes time.
