Financial Aid/Scholarships

I'm an international student but I donot know how I can apply for aid at UMich..can anyone help me out?? I can't figure out anything from their site

And do the accepted students get scholarships based on their high school result???

I don’t think UMich gives aid to int’l students.

Their website indicates that int’l students will have to show that they have full funds of about $50k to attend UMich each year.

For students who plan to enter the U.S. on an F-1 student visa or a J-1 exchange visitor visa (student category), a Certificate of Eligibility for a student visa cannot be issued until you have proven your ability to provide full financial support. To obtain the Certificate of Eligibility, you must provide the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with official financial documents showing your source(s) of funds. A Financial Resources Statement form is required from all admitted international students who decide to enroll, and hold or plan to obtain the F-1 or J-1 student visa status.

Estimated Costs*
For F-1 or J-1 Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant Student Visa Status
Tuition and Fees $36,001
Living Expenses $13,122
Total per academic year $49,123

If you don’t need financial aid to afford UMich, then you’re ok. If you do need financial aid, then hopefully you applied to schools that will give you aid (if you qualify).

BTW…most state schools do not give aid to int’l students. Some give merit scholarships, but many of those deadlines have passed.

Thanks for the reply…So, I guess UMich is not an option anymore :(
