What's the average financial aid/scholarship for lmu? I heard it's not too good?

My daughter was ED in December. I thought their package, which included Leadership Scholarship and Alumni Grant was ok.

When I went to the preview day I talked to students and told them how I got nearly 28k and they told me that was really good, but I was left with 25.5k to pay for myself.

I feel that they’re quite generous… I actually received alot from them…
Around 47K worth of scholarships, grants, and loans.

Be careful with the scholarships though. I thought I was getting a really good deal when I got $51000 (including loans, excluding it was about $31000) but one of those was a Freshman Grant that I won’t be getting now that I’m a sophomore!

Ooooh. I got the Arrupe Scholarship (for 4 years) and the LMU grant, as well as some other federal grants. I hope everything works out! We opted not to accept the loans so my total financial aid package is around 36K now without the loans.

What exactly is the Arrupe scholarship? I’m an out of state sophomore Film major. I got LMU grant for 23600, 3200 work study and 7500 in loans.

From the LMU website:
Arrupe Scholarship: Named for Fr. Pedro Arrupe, the long time Superior General of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) whose vision of Educating Men and Women for Others has become the hallmark of Jesuit education; up to 10% of LMU applicants are awarded the Arrupe Scholarship. The Arrupe Scholarship is competitive and award amounts vary. A minimum award of $12,500 annually, renewable for four years, will be awarded to Arrupe Scholarship recipients.

I thought it was like a President’s scholarship. I had read on the Arrupe a while ago while researching LMU… Good luck and congratulations!!!
