Financial Aid School A vs. B

School's A and B are very similar academically and in close proximity

I am a current student at school B looking to transfer.

School A offered me a 12,000 yearly transfer scholarship. School B offered me nothing. Even with the scholarship, school A will be more expensive than school B. Is there any way I can talk to the admissions office at school B to re consider financial aid? Is there a way to tell them that I am considering transferring and got a large scholarship from another school, and see if they will give me any financial aid to stay?

I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and can help

Thanks in advance.

I doubt it, they will know they are still all in a lower price. Is that offer need based or merit?

@BrownParent merit

bump

It depends on the school. Most schools, no. You won’t know about this particular school unless you call and ask.

Unless you recruited and they really want you, it is not likely they will increase the grant/scholarship for that reason.
