Financial Aid: Stanford vs. Princeton Advice?

<p>Hello everyone! Congrats to everyone accepted and best of luck to those who were deferred. I already asked in the Stanford forum but want to check here too.</p>

<p>I am accepted to Princeton and I am very happy, as this was my first choice. However, I did not receive as much financial aid as my parents expected. Stanford is closer to home and still a great school so they were wondering if Stanford could offer better aid. From what I've read this is not the case because Stanford is not need blind, but is it possible that there are exceptions?</p>

<p>I would really appreciate it if anyone could share what they know!</p>

<p>My guess is that Stanford likely may not be better than PTon. However, if your initial estimates veer considerably from what PTOn eventually awarded you, assemble your case and make a pitch to PTon Fin Aid. Perhaps there are extenuating circumstances that they aren’t aware of (high cost of home? Business assets that aren’t liquid? medical expenses? etc.). Try with princeton first</p>
