For some reasons, I still don't see my financial status updated after i sent in those materials more than two weeks ago... I am worried and I actually didn't write my name on my parents' tax return... Will it be fine?

Don’t worry about it – I called for the same reason, and they are apparently one month behind on all documents.

talente

They wanted the student’s name and CMU Applicant ID on each page…that said, since you are probably one of the dependent’s noted on the front page of the 1040 they will probably put it into your file.

They were three weeks behind in the last week of February - that is when I called wondering about my S’s forms as well.
They were entered in dribbles…first the W2s, then the 1040s, etc…even though it was faxed and mailed in the same pile.

I’d call them by the end of this week.

Don’t worry - it took between 3 and 4 weeks for my son’s to be updated.

Mine took forever to update. It finally showed up today.

Mine just showed up today as well… does this mean they’re going to be lenient with the financial aid deadline? It seems like everyone’s will be up late…

Dreamupsidedown

We had the same question-- admissions staff said their delay in posting is not any reflection on the applicant

Our materials were mailed and faxed during the snow storm…it did not show up for 3.5 weeks …we called a few times (My handle should be “worriedmom”)…as materials were dribbling onto the WAIITP site…they all show now…but most after the due date.

They assured us that everything was in order and that full consideration for aid would happen despite the materials showing as received after the Feb 15 due date (Our FAFSA was posted in January)

Don’t worry…

I think we can all conclude that the record breaking applicant numbers has stretched CMU Admissions way beyond and I cannot imagine how they are getting it all done…hats off to them!

Countdown…just a few more weeks everyone…

I mailed all my forms to CMU two weeks ago and they still haven’t processed the forms. I live 10 minutes away from campus…should I be worried? what should I do?

Thank You

no way man, CMU is just hella backed up with forms right now I think. It is their busiest time of year by far

I called them again today, and they told me that they’re still well-behind on documents, and that there’s absolutely no way to tell if they received my documents or not until they get through processing. There’s no penalty for that… they stamp documents when they receive them, so they go by the time on the stamp.
