Financial Aid & Textbooks

How long does it usually take to get the money left over from financial aid? I signed up to get mine directly to my bank account instead of by check, hopefully to make it faster. But how long does it usually take?
& should you buy textbooks before school starts or after? right now i really don't have the money to even buy all used books which is why i'm worried about my financial aid. i'm not really worried about trying to buy used books at a cheaper price right now because i really don't have any money right now...
& how long after classes start will you need to have all your books?
Thanks

Per my S2, go online to the U bookstore and check out all the books you need. The U library has minimum 1-2 set of all books students should be using every semester. Check those out just for a few weeks until you have the fund to buy used books. Used books can be ship directly to your dorm vis UPS, FedEx, except USPS. You need a rent a PO box for USPS. There are also students selling use books to each other at the beginning of each semester. Just ask around. I always admire student that try their best to get a higher education even with limited resources. Best wishes to you, study hard and you will make it.
