Financial Aid Tracking

I sent the CSS PROFILE back in early January; however, it appears as not received on the MIT Financial Aid Tracking.

Basically, is the financial aid tracking done by hand or is it done by email (like the SAT scores)? Should I be worried about this?

I had a similar problem and just called the FA office this morning. What they said was that students needed to fax them their Social Security card so that they can match the profile with the MIT account.

What if you don’t have a US Social Security Card? I’m from Canada and my CSS Profile was sent on January 1st, and it stills says that it hasn’t been received.

I don’t have a Social Security Number because I’m international…

What do we do? :(

^ They say that we should wait about 1 week for the CSS PROFILE to show up on MyMIT. After one week without any change, I think you should contact them via phone or email.

P.S.: I submitted a paper application instead of CSS, but MyMIT still shows that MIT has received my CSS PROFILE. I don’t know what really happened :D

I emailed the FinAid Office, and they said if having troubles with CSS, I can send the ISFAA instead (I’m an international applicant, you know)
