Hello, I enrolled in the UW-Madison Class of 2024. I just received my financial aid package and I received the Bucky Badger Grant, the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Suppl Educ Oppor Grant, and the Non-Resident tuition promise. I was wondering if anybody knows if these grants are for all 4 years of college, or just my freshman year? Also, does anybody know if I have to do the Work-Study Program in order to obtain these grants? I would greatly appreciate it if anybody knows the answers to my questions and replies to this chat!
That is your freshman year package so no it is not for all four years. You submit a FAFSA each year and then your aid is determined annually. Work-study is its own program (i.e. those grants don’t depend on whether you take a work-study job).
