I applied and was accepted to Temple University. Does that mean its too late to apply for financial aid?

No you will be considered for FA if you fill out the FASFA. For my D, I only remember filing the FASFA for financial aid (sometime in January/Feb) and she was notified of FA, part Temple grant and part Stafford Loans in the spring.

I feel obligated to warn you and others to view your Temple FA offer cautiously. We found out the hard way, that the offer that appears on the FA website is only an "estimate"...it is not finalized. Especially not until housing is paid and if and when they request parents tax forms for verification - it's not final until it's finaland can change dramatically.

We experienced a stinging bait-and-switch. The initial offer included a great combo of Temple grant and Stafford loans and a PA grant (about 60% grants, and 40% loans). Late in the spring (after other schools were turned down) the amounts were sharply cut - we were told that a mistake was made and our offer was based on living in the dorms - (she had indicated she would be living in apt off campus) and since the student had not paid the dorm deposit or submitted a copy of a lease the amounts were cut. We scrambled quickly to get a lease (remember it's only Spring and this is for fall) - and even when we were able to submit a lease in early summer - the total amount was reinstated...BUT...it was 25% grants and 75% loans - they added a maximum unsubsidized loan which we didn't originally want but were stuck with. Upon questioning we were told they had overextended the university grants.
So be very careful to confirm university grant and scholarship amounts if possible before making you're final decision - they aren't final until the housing deposits are in and you've completed any verifications. All schools include a FA award clause that awards can be altered upon verification, but we assumed that meant something like you're taxes were wrong or differed from your FASFA etc....just be cautious.
