Did anyone get the Financial Aid package in the mail? My letter said that it was going to come 1-2 days after my acceptance package, but I still didn't get it. There's no status where you can check to make sure that they got everything.

BTW, any current students, if you don't mind, can you be suburban middle class and still receive aid. Basically, is Penn somewhat generous?

Your financial aid information is linked to from your admission decision page. If you got to the page where you found your admission decision there should be a link on the right that says My Penn Plan Online, that is where it is.

mine said the same thing tat it would come later but it never did...n on my pennplan online says its incomplete but i sent in everything on tat checklist?

Mine says it's incomplete too, but take a look at the Worksheet thing in the My Penn Plan Online and it should still have a listing for how much aid you are receiving. I'm upper-middle class and I still got some money... thanks Penn!

Just bumping this thread up abit, I have some concerns about UPenn's fin. aid packages for ED, low-income international students. The website says Upenn has eliminated loans as part of its fin. packages - does this apply to intl applicants too because we werent specifically mentioned :/ My family owns no assets (shares, properties etc) other than the house we live in and our income bracket is <$10k, my family's not expected to mortgage the house to finance my edu @upenn right? Additionally, our income would 'change' constantly since the exchange rate is always fluctuating - how will this affect Upenn's perception of my fmaily's 'income'? I'd like to apply ED to Upenn but I'm really worried about the fin. package not meeting my 'demonstrated need' (I'm a bit anxious of how they actually calculate this) and it is a binding agreement. Hope you guys can provide me with advice or stories of other intl students who received substantial aid (basiclaly the whole lot..). Thanks in advance!

Aininor: applying for financial aid as an international reduces your chances of admittance (unless you are Canadian or Mexican), but if you do get admitted you will get a near free ride, as your family makes <$10k (im assuming that this 10k isnt a typo for 100k?)
However in the very unlikely event that your need is not met, and you cannot afford to attend, you can back out of an Early Decision Acceptance......this should only be used as a LAST resort
