On case's website, they students can't complete the Case Financial Aid Form until admitted. But I can access the forms now through briefCase, so can't I just complete the forms now? And when is the FAFSA deadline?
Here's the website:
Financial Aid - Freshman Application Instructions

My daughter received the following message last week regarding the Case Financial Aid form:

I would expect that the 2009-2010 version will be available by the end of
January.

Does anyone know CWRU's deadline for choosing them as a 1st choice school for the National Merit Scholarship?

Uh, I tried to do the application online right now too, but all the dates were 2008-2009, so I don't think it's the right version. They'll probably have the right version up for us by the time decisions roll out.

I'm not sure if Case has their own deadline for choosing them as 1st choice, but I know that you can fax or mail in a change to "undecided" status to NMSC before April 29, and then you fax or mail them your new first choice by May 31. If you make the deadlines, NMSC will still tell your new first choice college that they're your first choice.

The first group of students referred to their first choice colleges is the students that told NMSC their first choice before March 1, if that means anything to you.

Angrygoldfish,

The following is taken from the admitted students portion of the Case website:

Complete the financial aid process
Students applying for financial aid will need to complete the Case Financial Aid Form and the FAFSA. All students who enroll at Case and are applying for financial aid are required to submit the Case form, which is used to award certain university and state grants as well as other funds. You will need your Case Network ID to log in to the Case form.

The Case form includes an optional questionnaire which can be used to provide students who have yet to submit the FAFSA with an estimated financial aid package from Case. This questionnaire is not a substitute for the FAFSA, which must be submitted in order to receive need-based aid.

First-Year application for financial aid will be available 2/4/2009. Check back then!

It's 2/7/09 and this application still isn't available??

Anyone spoken to the admissions office lately about when the FA form will be available?

Here is the email my daughter received on February 4th:

We are going through the testing phase now. I hope by the beginning of next week that everything will be available for admitted freshmen applicants.

So wait, only admitted students can officially apply for financial aid? What about everyone who applied regular decision, what do we do?

Refer to the webpage: Financial Aid - Freshman Application Instructions

In addition to the FAFSA, you must also complete a Case financial form. However, according to their website, this form is only available to "admitted" students.

Much like most applicants who apply RD to most schools, you have to wait until receiving the admission letter.

If you are still unsure, contact Ms. Nancy Issa at the numbers listed in the previous posts.

I'm an admitted student, and it's still not showing me the 2009-2010 form.

I called Financial Aid Office today and was told error checks are being run on the program for Case Financial Aid Form (2009-2010) and should be available at the end of the week.

The 2009-2010 form is now available on Briefcase.
