I just received my financial aid from BC and they gave me a couple thousand short of cover all but my FAFSA EFC.

Should i try and apeal this and attempt to get more aid, is it worth it?
is there any chance they will give me more aid because i really want to go to BC and as of now the difference might be to much for me and my family.

Go for it. They are not going to reject you or withdraw you admittance.

By the way, do you mind telling me your EFC. The reason I ask is because my EFC is approiximately 35,500, and if I don't get most to all of that covered, and with additional scholarships get it down to about 30k, I am not going.

my efc was about 27k and they covered all but about 29k, the financial aid i received was mostly scholarship money. thanks for the advice bosoxnm3

no i am not a transfer, i am a freshman applicant accepted under early action

well it doesnt seem like that much, you could gasp take out some loans or hold a part time job! Oh no god forbid! 29k is not that much debt to graduate with. I know I'll be graduating with a lot more most likley as my parents arent giving me ****.

the saddest part is is that BC's inability to give students the aid they need actually prevents students from going there. I know that me going there depends solely on how much aid they give me, and how much i can get in loans. This economic crisis has really impacted my family's financial status (father is a realtor).
