Find out your dorm assignment

I found out on the UMD class of 2015 fb page that you can find out your dorm assignment by logging into the parking permit registration system. You won't find out your room number or roommate, just which dorm you're in.

If you don't want to get a parking permit, then I guess you just log out.

I think this is the link:
DOTS :: Parking Registration

Where is the dorm assignment?

You have to go through a couple of screens to see it, as if you are applying for a parking permit, then you can log out.

No it doesn’t, it just tells me that I’m considered a resident freshman with xx credits

Sorry xckyle93. I checked, and it appears they are no longer posting the name of the dorm. I guess they realized why everyone was logging in and logging out :(

If you go to resnet.umd.edu and click on Student Login/Housing Forms, you’ll be directed to log in. After that you’ll be on a page that show your info and has a tab for Fall Housing.

Check quickly…they’ll probably figure this out soon and block it, too, until Aug 12! Hahaha, this happens every year!

Wait Quan, what was the Fall Housing tab supposed to have? I see nothing :frowning: maybe they already blocked it?

There is also discussion on the fb page about doubles vs. triples. Some of the bills have already been adjusted for the triple/quad rate, so if your room charge is around $2400, then you’re probably in one.

Meh… I’ll just wait the nine days instead of hopping from site to site

Sorry you couldnt find out via the directions i posted, maybe its because I’m already a current student. But basically it just shows your building, room type (single, double, etc), and roommates. For me it looks like this: http://i55.■■■■■■■.com/3466gqp.png</a>
But it sounds like only a few more days until you know officially :-/

My room charge was previously reduced to reflect a triple/quad (like janetweiss said), but today it went back to the standard ~$2800.
Did reslife do this as another block??

I don’t think they would adjust your bill unless your number of roommates changed. Maybe some people cancelled their housing late, and now you only have one roommate.

I have a room open in south campus commons 3 (right next to route 1 and knox towers). 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, you have your own room (and it’s REALLY big). If you are planning to live on campus next year you are eligible to take the lease. I’m willing to offer whatever possible to get rid of it, as I can no longer deal with this lease. I’ve already paid for August ($767).
