I'm going to be a freshman this fall, and I see that there is an "Introduction to the Fine Arts at the University of Notre Dame" one-credit seminar class for freshman. I really like fine arts (music especially), and I was wondering if this is a good class to take. I read the little blurb thing in the academic guide, but I was wondering how many people take the class and what students think of it. And does it take up a lot of time?

I don't really know anything about it, but I also love the fine arts (especially music as well) and I signed up for it figuring I could drop it if it seemed like too much of a commitment...

I think that I may know a few people who took this course, though I can't be sure. They tended to have to make trips to the Snite museum or view certain plays that came through (though now that I think of it, that may have been for their Honors Program classes...I could be off base here). I do know that certain music courses are offered both in Theory and in specific instruments/vocals. You might be interested in checking those out.
