Anyone who has or know of people who have finished Columbia in 3 years? How did you or they do it?

If anyone has done it, they averaged nearly 7 courses a semester. Not much time for anything else but studying. The standard 4-year workload is ridiculous enough but hats off to anyone willing to drive themselves to do it.

Sure, plenty of people graduate in 3 years, often because they’re doing joint degree programs. For instance, a friend of mine graduated in 3 years and is now in the law school.

pwoods

why is it faster with a joint degree program?

Does Columbia allow students to double (or triple) major?

Yes. Students are allowed to take on more than one major. Doing so, however, is likely to require additional coursework and may not be possible in four years.

Ok thank u

I recently read about someone finishing Columbia with a double major (history & economic-philosophy) in 2 years…then went back to Columbia for MBA…incredible!
