I'm seriously considering Columbia, but the high cost of attendance is the major con. If I can graduate in three years, that will be much less burden on my family.
I intend to major in Stat. I looked at the major requirements on the website, and with the AP credits I've earned, it seems that I will be able to graduate in three years. Anyone have any idea if it truly is feasible? Thx.

A lot of times Columbia uses the AP credit for advanced standing. You should really contact admissions and speak to a representative. Are you currently a junior? If so, you could always set up an appointment to speak with someone over the summer. Also, Colombia does offer generous financial aid if your family qualifies. Good luck in your future aspirations!

how many ap’s can you get credit for? each one gives you 3 credits. if you take six classes a semester, it should be feasible. depending on how many ap’s you have, you may not even need to take that many classes a semester.

Definitely doable, and not even that hard if you plan your course selection in advance. The only sacrifice is you lose the ability to take a bunch of random classes outside your major that you may be interested in. If you try really really hard, and you take summer classes (cheaper), it’s doable in 2.5 years (one of my friends, Econ-Polisci joint majored finished in 5 semesters + summer)
