<p>Do colleges give scholarships for first generation students, or is it just an added little bonus on transcripts?</p>
<p>Some schools will use it as a criteria for certain scholarships. However, that varies by school so you’ll have to check with them.</p>
<p>Fwiw, I never came across one in my search a few years back that didn’t come with MANY more stipulations (meaning that being first gen was only a very small part of what qualified you for the scholarship).</p>
<p>I didn’t know transcripts had that label on them anywhere.
