Actually, karagon7, for Stanford, Yale, Princeton and some other schools (I'm not sure just which off the top of my head) the FA package applicants receive is exactly the same as they would receive whether they are QB College Match recipients, get into the school RD using a QB fee waiver, or don't use QB at all. (And for the schools listed in, in many cases this package probably will be one with $0 EFC from the family.)

Assuming the OP is low-income or middle-class, Stanford is essentially free: Tuition isn't charged for families that make under 100k and room and board are free for families with incomes under 60k. It sounds like he's got a pretty good deal in Stanford. He might have a student contribution for his school supplies.

Great news, Mr. Tubbz! Enjoy your success.

Mr. Tubbz, ~~~Congratulations~~~*~ Praise God and give a big hug to your mom! She must be sooooo proud.

Congrats Mr. Tubbs!! I'm sure you will make the very best of your opportunity.

Thank you guys so much, Stanford is still surreal to my family and I....we are somewhat dazed lol......have a couple more schools I'm waiting on....but I can approach Monday with confidence knowing I have a flippen top 5 school in the Bag! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael, I agree with so many of the above posters! My D goes to Brown, so just a little more input-- she says that it definitely is not as quirky as its reputation might lead everyone to believe! It has many different types of diversity, and some of the students are probably quirky, but it's not as hippie-dippie as it may appear. She also says, though, that it is not very diverse racially. I think the school is consciously trying to broaden their constituency in this area, though, so I would definitely agree that you should check it out. She absolutely loves the school! Best of luck to you, Michael, you seem like a wonderful young man!

Savor this time and enjoy..you earned it! Pay all the schools that invite you in respect and then go with your heart...where you know you will learn and also be happiest.
happy for you!

Praise God and Congratulations to you. You are such a good role model for today's youth and great things are in store for you.
