First Quarter Grades?! Eeeek!

Ohmygosh. Does anyone know how much First Quarter grades impact admission decisions for EDII? One of the main reasons I'm applying EDII is because my first quarter grades were bad, and I thought I didn't have to send them. I got 5 B's and 2 A's. My B's were in AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and Honors French 4. All my weighed classes. My A's were in Gym and Sociology.

Right now, I'm on my way to getting an A for my midterm grade in AP Lit, AP Psych, and AP Environmental Science. French is a draw, and AP Stat is most likely a B. The other two will stay A's. So that's.. 5/6 A's, 2/1 B's?

My GPA without senior year was a 3.67. WGPA was a 4.30. If I were to get only one A on my midterm grades, I'd get about a 3.59. I will hopefully get a lot more than that. My WGPA would go down to a 4.22ish. I think I'm on the verge of having a heart attack here. My October ACT score was a 31, and my SAT was a 1900. I'm a URM. People said I have a pretty good chance at getting in, but will this hurt my chances detrimentally?

I don't think anything can hurt you beneficially (unless you're a masochist, of course)

That was completely unhelpful, thanks! -.-

I think the best thing to do is work your hardest this semester, then report back with your updated grades. It's not like we can adjust your GPA for you.

(Not trying to be mean; just saying that this isn't the time or place to worry.)

The Admissions office only looks at semester grades anyway, so just pull up some of your B's and you'll be golden.

I found my transcript and it actually won't pull me down as much as I said. I was estimating, and apparently my total point value is higher than I thought it was...
But, I'm getting an A in AP Psych and APES. No matter what anyone says. AP Lit and AP Stat could go to A's, possibly. French is most likely staying a B. And I feel LUCKY to have a B in that class.

well you can't hide your grades but I was told that a B in a honors class is better than a A in a regular class.
