<p>Do colleges begin reviewing your application before the grades are sent in? My first quarter ends after the deadline, and I was just wondering how this works exactly.</p>

<p>Some of the colleges that have early action or early decision request you to submit quarter grades for EA or ED. Otherwise colleges generally neither want nor use quarter grades to determine admission; many, however, do want you to send your first semester grades after you submit your application and use those to determine admission. When colleges actually start to review files vary but none will review for admission until Your file has everything required usually including a transcript and many do not review any files to determine admission until after the application deadline.</p>
