First quarter grades

So a while ago Cornell sent their ED applicants an email reminding them to have their first quarter grades faxed over... has anyone not done this yet? First quarter report cards in our school are coming out like tomorrow, so I'm planning on having it faxed over tomorrow... just slightly worried that I'm like the only one who hasn't faxed it in yet lol. Just wondering.

has any one NOT recieved the e-mail he's talking about? I sent my garades in and didn't get it, and am wondering if it was the grades that made it so i didnt get the e-mail or if I really didnt need to send them to begin with.

yea, i didn't get an email either...i think it's done by college, which colleges are you applying?

it's quite possible what you say is true, r1400sch. BUT it's also possible that people who haven't gotten them have already beeen reviewed and put in the rejection/deferral pile...but it's only the other perspective. if you haven't sent your first quarter grades in yet, do it yourself or better yet, have your counselor do it (they are more professional with this kinda stuff, i think)

best of luck to everyone, especially me lol

just to clear it up...what i said was only a THEORY, not proven at all...so don't take my word for that's what the colleges are doing...

3 weeks..

Oh, sorry, I just realized that the email was sent out to engineering applicants...

"Also, if your school has not already done so, you should remind your college counseling office to send in your first-quarter (or equivalent) grades from your senior year, which we require as well. Please fax them directly to the Engineering Admissions office at 607-255-0971. (Thank you!)"

Sorry if I freaked anyone out...

boooy do i hope that theory is wrong though...lol. I applied CALS if that means anything. ah well. I think we're really only beating ourselves up more and getting more stressed than we need to be by ruminating over this junk. but heck...we can't help it. all I know is that my 1st Q grades are indeed there. nothing more. best luck when the 11th, or the 13th or 14th or 15 or whatever they say it is comes!

true true...yea my friend also got an email, and she's applying engineering as well...so i guess it's only for certain colleges

My friend told me this morning that they automatically defer people who don't submit their first quarter grades on time. I was like ***?? Can anyone confirm this?

i never got any letter, but i sent mine in anyways because I did really well. hahah

^same - or at least i told my counselor to...

i never got anything telling me to send my first quarter grades and my counselor never said anything about it...should i be worried?!?

maybe its only for borderline applicants?

So, it turns out that I have one B, and that I "skipped" about seventeen classes... but I'm sure at least thirteen of them were legal<<too bad they won't know that. Anyway, oops. Is this like a major flop or am I okay, since everything else is As?

Hmm, last week I told my school to send 1st quarter grades. They haven't done so yet. They seem to want to send it via mail. I suggested fax, but the person at the counter said that she wasn't the one in charge of it.

Im sending these things tomorrow... Hope it will be fine! O_O

I'm applying to CAS so I don't think I need 1st quarter grades sent but I did it just in case.

i called admissions and they said all applicants have to send their first quarter grades...im freaking out because i got one 3.0, are my chances ruined?

I haven't read anywhere that 1st quarter grades are required....im confused... and why would they hold it against you for not sending something they don't ask for? it would be really easy for Cornell to require 1st quarter grades if they really wanted them. What's up with this?

omg..I've never heard anything about sending first quarter grades! I emailed my counselor last night and she still hasn't gotten back to me.. but there's no time that I can get down there and ask her myself because I have no free periods! AAGHHH am I going to get rej/def from CAS because of this??

is there something im missing? just go down to guidance when you dont have a test and get a pass when you're done.

its that easy.
