I had to go back and check which book it was in...
Yikes, those typos are mine, not the booklet's. I shouldn't talk on the phone and type at the same time :)

I'm not sure about faxing grades. When my daughter's guidance counselor FINALLY sent her 7th semester grades in last year (late; he had to be reminded by USMA to do so; he forget; she was not happy, but that's another story) they had to be mailed in a sealed envelope with his signature across the flap. Additionally, they had to be "official" transcripts with the raised seal.

ann... i think you might be confused, the booklet i recived "instructions for candidates offered admission" askes for different material. I think you might be referring to "instructions for applicants" ...yea i just looked at my other booklet, i think i am going to call my recruiter (BGO for navy, Liason officer for air force, what does the army call them?) and ask if i still need to follow the other applicant booklet or just the appointment booklet

yes instructions for admissions -follow that, even if you have an appointment already. You will also send in your complete hs transcripts after you graduate.

After going back and looking at the booklets this is what I said:
"Yes, the card and instructions are in the "Instructions for Applicants" book.
Page 7:
"Upon completion of the first half of your senior year of high school, complete your portion of this card and give it to your guidance counselor to fill out and mail so that Admissions will receive it by Feb. 1. Please note that in addition to these fall grades, an admitted candidate's record should ultimately reflect satisfactory completion of all academic course work to include spring programs. Failure to submit this data will be cause for file closure or for withdrawal of an offer of admission." "

I believe you still need to follow these instructions (even if you have an appointment - see post #3), but if you have been told otherwise by admissions then follow their instructions. I would not merely assume that those instructions no longer apply....

ann - yea i think your right and ill play it safe and take your advice by following the steps in both booklets, my recruiter lady has not gotten back to me yet, but i will follow the candidates and appointees booklet...thanks

My Admissions officer had me fax my semester transcripts to USMA, he said they needed to see them even after I've been accepted to make sure I wasnt slacking off. I dont know to what degree he meant...
