First semester senior year grades- help!

Alright, I'm a senior currently still in first semester (our finals are this week). A lot of my grades are borderline, and if I mess up I'm afraid it could affect my admissions.

I'm of course gonna study for the finals that matter, but one class that reaaaally concerns me is AP Calc AB. I have a 70% and it's by far the hardest class I've been in. I understand the material, but the teacher grades harshly and is super secretive about test scores and assignment grades. I calculated the class scores a while ago, and 22 people have Cs or below. It's insane. The final could pull me up to ~77%, but I'm probably gonna end up with a C.

Not only will this look bad on my midyear transcript, my parents are forcing me to quit my favorite EC if I get a C. Ugh any advice?

I’m having the same issue as you with AB Calc…

Honestly, I think you should have a talk with your parents about then making you quit your EC. It isn’t like you aren’t applying yourself, you are just having a hard time doing well partially because of the teacher and partially because Calc is hard. I think it would be unfair to punish you for struggling.

I’ve tried to talk with them, but honestly they’re not the understanding type. They constantly tell me that I’m gonna end up with a D in that class and get rescinded by all my colleges.
I’m starting to get overly anxious, and of course quitting my biggest EC will look bad too. The teacher isn’t budging with grades (he’s given the majority of his class Ds before), so should I talk with my counselor? The administration?
