Early Action candidates should send their first-term grades as soon as they are available.
What is considered first term? My school's first quarter grades come out this week. Is that what they want or do they mean January grades?

Any official “end of semester” grades. So if your school has a weird schedule where you ended in November or something… Then send those too. Whatever shows up on your officially school transcript, send them.

Since EA notification is in December, I would assume they want the grades from the first marking period. Otherwise, why would they ask, if they plan to admit you before the midterm grades come out?

Well you have to send in your term grades even if you already got accepted by EA. If you suddenly failed all of your classes, Northeastern wants to know. You need to make sure that your high school counsellor knows what colleges you applied to so they can send your transcript out.

If you’re accepted and you want to go, you’ll have to send your final (as in, at graduation) grades as well. You have to send EVERY grade that will appear on your transcript, as soon as they are released.
