First years: things to bring

Flopsy, not all the rooms have full length mirrors... in fact, I'm pretty sure MOST rooms don't.

Also, the walls in De Neve rooms are not canvas-covered, which means if you use puch pins, you WILL put holes in the walls and those CAN be charged to you as damages at the end of the year.

Right... De Neve is the exception because they don't have bulletin boards.

bump since school is starting soon

Does dykstra have bulletin board walls?

i believe they have a cork board, but its not the size of the wall. its more like the size of a medium size white/chalk board. i think thats true for all the res halls.

what do they mean by "Restricted Evening Access"

Rejected: It means that people cannot go up to the rooms after 9pm without checking in with the front desk staff using a BruinCard. Guests/visitors must be accompanied and checked-in by the student.

Dear UC Applicant:

Will my Bruincard get me into, say, your dorm, or a dorm that isn't mine?

ok so you gotta be a student with a bruin card to get in after 9 pm and if you are not, you gotta be with one.

thanks.

Rejected: Yup. No problem.

namaste: Umm.. is that you? Dear UC Applicant? Anyways, anyone can access any residence hall + their own (set of) building(s).
