My daughter got a rejection email today
Still have yet to receive anything. It’s driving me nuts and I’ve pretty much convinced myself that I was not accepted. I called to see if they could email my decision letter to me but they said I had to wait until the end of the week. Ugh

Im going to call them on Monday to see if they can email it to me , I believe they sent it to the wrong address
@vvv1234 I’m also applying for the Communication Design AAS program and what they’re asking is a requirement for applying. If you go to FIT’s website there should be a page that lists everything that is required to apply. I would say this is a good sign for you since they’re not just leaving you behind with unsubmitted materials and actually letting you know lol. Sending whatever they want in asap will be quicker for you to hear back I assume. Good luck!
I just called earlier today. I applied for the Illustration AAS and they told me that a decision has not been made yet and that I should expect a decision next week. The lady on the phone said that the counselor still hasn’t made a decision regarding my application. I’m pretty sure I got waitlisted or rejected but I could be wrong. Still holding onto some hope!
My daughter called today and was told her decision was mailed yesterday so she should receive it tomorrow (we are in Westchester, NY.). Also, no change to COA, so I really feel like she got denied. Ugh. We should know tomorrow. Fingers, eyes, toes, arms and legs all crossed for a positive outcome…
@dmoh88 I will pray for you!! I know the feeling. She will be ok if she doesn’t get in. She can apply for spring. She can even talk to my daughter if you want. She never gave up! But you can call and tell them to email it. It depends who you get on the phone. Tell them they emailed 2 people you know.

@dizydee My daughter got her rejection email today she is crying her eyes out. My heart is hurting for her. I kept thinking that we missed something when applying. I guess we need to do some more digging.
@Boeing757 I know the feeling I was denied when I was a senior in high school , it was the worst feeling. I was so sad when I saw a letter and not a packet. I would advise her to keep trying. I ended up going to a school that has a 3+1 program so they prepared and encouraged me to re apply my now jr year.

Hi, Im June a 2rd year transfer student still waiting on their letter :’) I applied to the AAS Fashion Design program for a fresh start and I’m hoping my portfolio and essays are strong enough to make up for my abyssmal grades from my previous college(my first two years were rly rough mentally and physically :’’’))! Congrats to everyone that got in and a huge hug to everyone who got rejected, I know the feeling all too well!! Don’t feel discouraged and always know its never too late and to always keep trying!!
Just received my acceptance letter via email today! 
(It was dated March 28, but my mail has been getting lost, so they emailed me a PDF)
I am considered an Outstanding Applicant, though it seems like many accepted in this forum are as well…
Applied for Communication Design Foundation Two-Year AAS program
Here is a few things I noticed during this process for those who are still waiting or are applying in the future…
- My COA (Cost of Attendance) never showed, therefore it never changed for me. Because of this, COA could not be used as an indicator of acceptance for me.
- In the class search drop down menu, “FALL 2018 (View Only)” changed to just “FALL 2018” 2-3 weeks ago. I do not know if this is a change for everyone regardless if they are accepted or not, but it is something to keep in mind.
- Same thing happened with “SUMMER 2018 (View Only)” to just “SUMMER 2018”, this happened about 1 week ago.
Seems like they send out letters in 2 or 3 different batches about a week apart.

You may become very popular. My daughter has completed a year at a different school and is waiting to hear from FIT now. She was told she was probably waitlisted because no letter has been sent, no decision has been made. That was on Tuesday. I hope it turns around.
