FIT applicants for fall 2018

Anyone here from long island and didn’t get anything??

@delightfulsoul Not LI, but still close to city — Westchester. Nothing in mail again today. This is so frustrating. Yesterday my daughter called and was told her decision was mailed Wednesday. Today she was told it was mailed yesterday. Both times her request for an email was denied. Supposedly they only email you if you never receive your decision. Based on what I’ve read here about the experience of others, not sure that is true. I guess it really does depend on who answers your call. Still holding out our dwindling hope! You never know…

I never received anything. I’ll call later to ask I’m waiting for the mail, doesn’t come till like 1pm but thank you. I hope you and everyone else gets some feedback soon.

Did anyone apply for AA fashion design 1 year program and have you received a decision?!

In the same boat. I asked them then how did some people receive the emails? They reluctantly said I have to allow some more time, and if I don’t receive by next Tuesday maybe they can send email…= =

@thisisalyssa I’m in same boat! I live in Queens, NYC and I applied for AAS fashion design. I still haven’t heard back.

I lowkey don’t want admissions to get annoyed but like come on, the waiting is just as hurtful

It really depends who you get on the phone. They emailed my daughter her letter dated 4-4. She still didn’t get it in the mail. We live 45 min away from FIT. I feel bad for the kids who are still waiting. It’s not right. It takes them 2 seconds to email. Keep calling back. It’s not fair. Don’t worry about annoying them. It’s their job.

I really hate how late they’re sending out the decisions. I was accepted into another school awhile ago and I have to register by the end of the month, and a lot of other schools are the same way. It’s so frustrating.

I wonder why they don’t just email in the first place. Just about all schools send their decisions via email. It sounds like it would save them a lot of trouble.

@thisisalyssa in the exact same boat. I’m in queens too and still haven’t received anything, I called admissions yesterday and she said my letter was sent out earlier this week. I don’t feel like it would take THIS long for a letter to come in the mail. Very discouraging and anxiety inducing. Best of luck to you I hope you hear back soon, keep me updated

@KayLeaf Hello I am in Brooklyn as well and still waiting when I called they told me that it was sent out and to give it about 7 days to arrive and I applied for Fashion Design AAS as well.

I called admissions earlier and she said they made a final decision and I should be hearing soon.

I got the decision letter in email finally. And it’s saying that I am wait listed. I’m sad.

@KayLeaf I hope things work out for you. I know people that have gotten in from the waitlist so don’t lose hope! I haven’t been accepted and don’t know if I will be but I am here if you wanna talk! Best of luck

does anyone know about transfer credit evaluation? If they did it does that mean that I have been accepted/waitlisted?

Still no packet in the mail but my daughter received an email from financial aid saying congratulations on being admitted to FIT and it had instructions for reviewing the financial aid information. When she called admissions asking if they could confirm and send the acceptance letter via email they said no and it’s out of their hands and up to the mail system to deliver it! Seriously!! Told her to wait and call next week if she still has nothing. She is Fashion Design-AAS.

Anybody received anything in Maryland? The admissions office said my decision was sent and I will receive it soon, but the wait is torturing me ;-;

@KayLeaf I’m also from Brooklyn and I applied to the AAS fashion design program. I haven’t gotten anything from them yet. But anyways Good luck

I received my letter a few days ago and I live in Manhattan. I was accepted to the BFA VPED Design program as a transfer from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. I know one girl who called and asked them to just email the decision letter.
