FIT applicants for fall 2018

@kellude & @for2buns call admissions right away!!! Take screen shots of your stuff that was marked as submitted. Fight it!!!

I called FIT admissions this morning to tell them that I still have not received my decision letter, the person on the phone said it was mailed to me on Tuesday, April 10th but she will email me in 5 minutes with my letter! Well, I was accepted into the 3rd semester for Fine arts! My status online has not changed however I did receive a call from admissions asking if I was graduating my current school which I said no. This forum has been really helpful through the application, so thanks and congratulations to everyone who was accepted and if you are not accepted to the school and this is your dream school I would suggest trying to pay out of pocket to take some classes at the school I did that and I feel like it helped me.

JUST CALLED got off the phone with a lady named Jackie and they’re giving me a new decision letter in the next 2 weeks!!! I could cry, honestly! But the wait is back on!!!

Just checked and my COA is updated! I’m guessing that means I was accepted into the Illustration AAS but I am still waiting on my letter. I’m so excited!!

My cost of attendance was updated back in February, just got my letter and I’ve been waitlisted.

@MaryannGolokeh Ah, may have spoke too soon. Hoping I got in then. :frowning: I always thought the COA updating means you got in. Hoping I hear soon.

I called and they still told me that even if there was a mistake, they don’t have my high school transcript, and because my major was filled, they can’t consider me. I think there might have been a glitch on the site when I was ordering it from my highschool, since I was ordering it to many different schools. It looked like they received it because they had it listed with my other received materials and didn’t indicate that it was still missing. Oh well though. At least I got into my back up. Best of luck @for2buns !

I got the acceptance letter today. I applied for Illustration AAS 1 year program as a transfer student, my letter dated 4/10. I think they keep making decisions lately. My COA never updated, but my financial aid was processed(they asked me to submit tax transcript) before I received the letter.

@loveofhide how did you choose the 1yr AAS as a transfer? I never saw that option when i applied.

@ArtMajor03 Oh, I typed wrong. It is 2yr AAS! Thanks for asking.

@loveofhide woohoo, we’re in the same major.

@kellude sorry you didn’t get in. What was your backup college?

@ArtMajor03 SCAD

@kellude that was my first choice years ago and never got in. I never reapplied to SCAD either. Best of luck to ya there.

Just got my acceptance letter for Illustration AAS!
Postdated 4/11! Good luck to those still waiting!

is it hard to get off waitlist u know what percentage get in??

@fashun i was on the wait list last year for the aas in Illustration, and in July i didnt make it since no one changed their mind about fit. I have no idea what your major is though.

Hey You all , the admission office never picks up the phone … for those who succeeded in calling the school, In which department Did you call to? How long did you all wait to talk to the representative?
