wait i my application status says “not entered”, but i just got a letter that says i’ve been waitlisted. what about you?
Anyone else whose applied for fashion business management AAS and has been told by the admissions office that they’re yet to make a decision?
Did anyone else asked them to send a decision thru an email and they were like ‘sure you should get it by 5’ and never got an email? It happened to me twice it’s annoying by now
Hi everyone. Today I called and requested an email for my decision as I still have not received any mail. They emailed me the decision that I have been waitlisted. I applied to the Advertising and Communications Marketing one year associate program as a transfer student, with a 3.8 GPA last semester and a very strong essay. I have also been accepted to my backup school, LIM. FIT is my number one choice. Not really sure what I should do now. Would appreciate any feedback or direction as to what I need to do next. :-<
@chrisbennett I’d send in the deposit for LIM (especially if their deadline is coming up). You won’t find out if you got in until May, or even early June.

@orcenurse FIT has a way better fashion program. They have a ton of archives on fashion history and literally every fashion documentary I’ve watched references FIT. It’s wayyyyy cheaper. Tuition for FIT is a third of Pratt Brooklyn’s cost. And besides that, I’m at Pratt’s Utica campus. I was waitlisted for Brooklyn, but didn’t end up getting accepted. At Pratt Utica (also known as PrattMWP), they don’t have classes for the fashion major. They have foundation classes for freshman year, but after that, I’d have to do a year of school in a major I’m not interested in because they don’t let Utica students transfer to Brooklyn until their junior year. Also the Utica campus sucks lol. I hear the Brooklyn campus is eons nicer though.
ooh i see! i got accepted for Pratt bklyn. yea FIT tuition is way cheaper…thats why im still hesitating to go Pratt lol but i think ive committed to pratt. In FIT u have to choose one particular major when u go to junior yr which i dont like. thats the main reason why im not leaning to FIT. anyway both are great school tho!! hope i can look around both school and get some info but i cant

I called again and asked for an email, and they said they can’t email letters until “maybe” next week. This is so so so frustrating. The registration deadline for another school I got accepted into is at the end of this month. I’m so tired of “maybe next week” Why couldn’t they update their website over the summer?
Got an email from FIT yesterday stating that my decision letter is in the mail! Now just have to stalk the mailbox for a few days!
I just got my rejection letter and I am so pissed off. myfit said they had received all required application materials from me, but apparently not. Apparently my high school transcript never made it to them, so they couldn’t consider me.
So I got a letter today…and Im a little baffled. It says my application was withdrawn because of incompleteness which…is impossible, since i turned in everything and it shows the dates when my applications, essays, portfolio and transcripts were accepted…so I’m confused??? This feels kind of worse than a rejection right now?
